The healthcare assistants are qualified and fully trained to offer professional care services to a very high standard.

Grange-Lea can offer a wide range of extra services which include Respite stays, day care which can include a bath or shower and lunch, short stays for rehabilitation or convalescence. We believe that an activities programme is an important part of our care and support at Grange-Lea. We organise regular activities from music and films to playing games, chair exercise or group discussion and quizzes. Grange-Lea can arrange transport with a local taxi firm who have an adapted disability vehicle for trips and transport to the surrounding area.

What you can expect?

Grange-Lea has been completely modernised and tastefully decorated whilst still retaining its original character and period features. There are four main communal areas. The front lounge, where you can simply relax and see the visitors come and go. The back lounge where most of our entertaining takes place and where you can also catch up on a bit of TV. The dining room with an adjacent conservatory and a kitchenette , and the garden lounge that enjoys direct access to our lovely, well-maintained gardens. Many of the bedrooms benefit from sea views or look out across the beautiful gardens so you're never far from a lovely view. The home is surrounded by stunning gardens that are maintained weekly by our gardener with year-round interest. The garden is easily accessible to all including wheelchair users. We have a very popular seating area where residents can relax in the sunshine chatting with friends or enjoy watching the very well fed rabbits! Throughout the year we hold tea parties, and other events which our residents, friends and family enjoy. Our rooms are spacious with a light and airy feel and many have views across the garden or sliding patio windows leading directly onto private garden areas. All our rooms are regularly decorated and well equipped so you feel comfortable. Our residents are welcome to bring in their own ornaments, treasured possessions and furniture to make their room feel like home. Our friendly handyman can put up shelves and pictures as required.

Our policies and procedures

Grange-Lea uses a comprehensive, tailor-made set of policies and procedures. These get updated as much as needed, but at minimum once a year. Our motto is that all that we do is written down, and all that is written down we do. We are very serious about this, which results in us writing many new polices and procedures during the year, because of new, often challenging situations we want to cover. This work and approach is something that gets us lot of praise from the CQC, our regulator.
